Welcome to Nomad Soul Therapy

A space where your story matters, your roots are honored, and healing meets you just as you are. Wherever you are in the world, this is a place to feel seen, supported, and gently guided home — to yourself.

Hi! I’m Georgiana Darau.

I am a licensed psychologist and integrative therapist with a focus on intercultural dynamics. My practice is dedicated to supporting individuals who are navigating cross-cultural experiences, personal growth, and life changes. I believe that healing comes from understanding oneself fully and embracing one’s unique journey, which is why I work to provide a space that honors your values, background, and experiences.

My story, starting from the roots...

I grew up in a small village in Romania, where life was centered around deep connections—with family, friends, neighbors—and a strong sense of tradition where stories, habits, and shared meals held meaning.

Later, when I moved to a bigger city, I was struck by how different things felt—even within my own country. People seemed more distanced from their roots, and that left me feeling a bit out of place. For a while, I felt like I didn’t quite belong. But through observing, feeling deeply, and staying open, I slowly learned how to adapt without losing myself.  That was just the beginning of my journey to truly understand who I am.

With a curious and sensitive heart, I began traveling—to study, work, and volunteer in different countries. What started as exploration soon became a way of living. I’ve now spent over 10 years as a nomad soul—living across Europe. With my base in France, you often find me traveling to Greece and Romania while supporting others on their mental health and identity journeys.

...unfolding into the person I am today.

My own path shaped how I hold space as a therapist. I deeply understand how culture, connection, and change can influence our sense of self. Whether you’re navigating inner struggles, relationships, or life between cultures, I’m here to walk with you—gently, openly, and always with deep respect for your lived experience.

And outside the therapy room? I’m just as passionate about creativity and joy. You’ll find me journaling in cozy cafés, shaping clay in pottery class, flowing through yoga, dancing to 2000s hits, or curled up with a feel-good show and a little chocolate. And this is because healing, to me, isn’t just about what hurts—it’s about reconnecting with what lights you up.

Let’s explore that together

My approach

Through years of training and experience, I’ve explored a variety of therapeutic approaches—and today, I bring them together in a way that feels true to both my values and your unique journey.

My approach is integrative and highly personalized, because therapy should never be one-size-fits-all. Every person brings their own story, challenges, and strengths, and I tailor each session to reflect that.

Creating a warm, safe, and supportive space is at the core of my work. I want you to feel heard, seen, and encouraged to explore whatever you’re going through — whether it’s stress, transitions, past wounds, or the desire for deeper self-understanding.

I draw from several methods, including Person-Centered Therapy, CBT, Attachment Theory, Somatic Therapy, Mindfulness, Internal Family Systems Therapy and Trauma-informed practices. This allows us to shape the process in a way that fits you, supporting healing, growth, and meaningful change on your own terms.
